The evening begins with emerging playwright Aleshea Harris' "What To Send Up When It Goes Down" a play/pageant/ritual response to the death of black people due to racialized violence. A post-performance discussion will follow to invite the audience to engage with what liberation means to us. This reading will be co-produced with The Movement Theatre Company.
